Dissidents stage protest before Congress Bhawan demanding Niranjan’s quit

Bhubaneswar, Oct 3: A group of dissidents has staged protest before Congress Bhawan, Bhubaneswar demanding Niranjan’s quit on Sunday. Disgusted over meagre votes and grand failure in Pipili by-election concluded today, a number of party workers were seen to be roaring against the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee President Niranjan Pattnaik, holding placards and banners. During the demonstration, the protesters echoed Anti-Niranjan slogans and demanded his immediate quit on morality ground.Even, they vowed to take the ‘Eliminate Niranjan’ drive to Delhi. Worth mentioning, infighting within faction-ridden Odisha Congress has intensified with the dissidence movement demanding change in leadership. The demand has got louder by an influential group of the party on Friday after the onset of Pipili by-poll.
