Gajapati, July 23: Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Paralakhemundi has refuted his involvement with ACF Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra’s death while being interrogated by police on Friday. Paralakhemundi Inspector In-Charge (IIC), Bibekananda Swain informed this to the media persons in the afternoon after the interrogation was over. In the course of interrogation, DFO Sangram Keshari Behera said that he is in no way involved in the death of his ACF Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra though they were immediate neighbours. He also rejected the allegations about having any extramarital relationship with Bidyabharati, the wife of Soumya Ranjan. However, police have sourced some important clues on the case from today’s inquiry, said Swain.
