Devotees throng temples on Mahashivratri, CM greets people

Bhubaneswar, Feb 21: Lakhs of devotees across Odisha thronged Shiv temples and shrines from early morning today to pay obeisance on the occasion of Mahashivratri. In Bhubaneswar, people in large numbers were seen standing in long queues at Lingaraj Temple in the wee hours for ‘Sahanamela Darshan’ to have a glimpse of the deity. Barricades have been put up to facilitate hassle-free darshan of the deity and elaborate security arrangements have been made to maintain law and order situation, said police. The ‘Mahadeep’ will be placed atop Lingaraj Temple at 10 pm.
