Puri, Oct 10: A devotee inside the Puri Jagannath temple reportedly died on Tuesday after he fell flat during darshan.
The incident took place inside the temple in the evening.
The deceased was identified as Rayan Prasad who hailed from Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh.
Sources said, Prasad along with some of his relatives, was moving inside the temple from the afternoon. Meanwhile, he complained of some health related complications and fell unconscious on the spot all of a sudden. Being informed of the incident from the onlookers, he was rushed to the hospital by Srimandir police for resuscitation. However, the treating doctor declared him received dead.
