Academic brilliance cut short
Tragedy struck Karnataka's Kalaburagi district as an eighteen-year-old medical aspirant, Bhagyashree, ended her life by hanging at her residence on Sunday. This devastating event occurred following the recent NEET exam cancellation. The young woman was highly proficient academically, having secured a phenomenal 92 percent in her Pre-University Certificate examinations.

Unseen pressure of re-examination
Her grieving father, Rajashekhar, told local reporters that the household harboured no visible distress and was living contentedly. He mentioned that his daughter had performed remarkably well during the initial test session on May 3. However, he tearfully questioned if the daunting prospect of writing the rigorous medical entrance evaluation all over again had severely weighed upon her psyche.
Local police sources verified that no suicide note was discovered at the scene. This heartrending incident mirrors similar student casualties reported recently in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, showcasing how national testing disruptions severely damage student wellness. Station Bazaar police officers have registered a formal case to probe the circumstances surrounding this demise. Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency has scheduled the medical entrance re-exam for June 21, leaving millions of students desperately grappling with heightened anxiety and burnout.
