Denizens in Cuttack initiate public patrolling to check petty crimes

Cuttack, Jan 21: Forum of residents living around the newly developed CDA Sector 13 area in the Silver city have now started public patrolling to check up petty crimes in the area. Acting on the increasing rate of petty crimes since the past few weeks, locals have begun foot patrol to using two-wheeler to keep vigil on the criminals. Accordingly, holding sticks and torches in hand, the residents are seen moving around the colony to watch and guard the homesteads. Local residents’ Association including youths and women members are watching their homes and properties through the self-style patrol. However, DCP, Prateek Singh said, police has not been noticed regarding continuous burglary in the residential area.
