Bhubaneswar, July 16: The outbreak of dengue has triggered panic among Khordha denizens, coping with the COVID-induced lockdown amid the declining cases. The Khordha district has reported 113 new cases of dengue till date. According to sources, over 103 mosquito-borne viral infections have been detected in different wards of the city in the current month. Elisa testing facility is available at Capital Hospital, All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC), said Niranjan Mishra, State Director of Public Health. Niranjan Mishra also said that the number of dengue detected in the district in the current year is less than that of the previous year. The monsoon has once again brought back the threat of dengue fever outbreaks in the district and as always, the city Corporation wards are bearing the brunt of the dengue caseload in the district.
