Delivery boy of e-commerce company held for replacing mobile phone with soaps in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Nov 13: Mancheswar police today arrested a delivery boy working for an E-commerce company for allegedly stealing mobile phones worth lakhs and replacing them with soap packets. The accused identified as Dharmendra Jena, a resident of Sabar Sahi in Rasulgarh. Police said that Jena who works as delivery boy with an E-commerce has ordered several mobile phones worth lakhs identifying himself as a customer. “He later replaced the mobile phones with soap packets and returned the packets claiming that the products delivered were different from the orders placed. We started investigation after getting a complaint from a senior official of the E-commerce company. We have seized a laptop from his possession. Further investigation in the case is continuing,” said a police official.
