Daitari Nayak Memorial Trust celebrates Teachers’ Day 2021

Bhubaneswar, Sep 6: Daitari Nayak Memorial Trust has celebrated Teachers’ Day at Baluria under the Pattamundai block in Kendrapara on Sunday. Teachers’ Day is celebrated annually on September 5 to mark the birthday of the country’s former President, scholar, philosopher and Bharat Ratna awardee, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was born on this day in 1888. On the occasion, a seminar was held, which was presided over by trust secretary and educationist Ranjit Kumar Raut and attended by eminent social activist Basant Kumar Mallick, Prof. Nirmal Chandra Biswal, Poet Sachhitra Kumar Beura, former Andara Sarpanch Basanta Kumar Swain and educationist Raj Kumar Biswal. They highlighted various aspects of the Guru-Sishya tradition. The chief guest and the keynote speaker inaugurated the seminar by lighting lamps and paying floral tributes on the photographs of late Guru Daitari Nayak and Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. Various aspects of education and ideals of Guruji Daitari Nayak were highlighted by the speakers.
