Cyclone Yaas: IAS officers to monitor relief, rehabilitation work in five districts

Bhubaneswar, May 24: Odisha government on Monday assigned five IAS officers as observers to oversee relief and rehabilitation work in five districts which are likely to be badly hit by the extremely severe cyclonic storm ''Yaas." The government has assigned the five IAS officers for Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Balasore and Mayurbhanj districts. The five IAS officers appointed as observers of the districts are Hemant Sharma (principal secretary to government, industries department with additional charge of principal secretary to government, SD&TE dept, and Chairman IPICOL) for Kendrapara, Saswata Mishra (principal secretary to government, higher education department) Jagatsinghpur, Vir Vikram Yadav (principal secretary to government, food supplies & CW department with additional charge principal secretary to government , Co-operation department) for Bhadrak,Vishal Kumar Dev (principal secretary to government, Sports & YS department with additional charge of principal secretary to government, Tourism department) for Balasore Suresh Kumar Vashishth (special secretary to government, Agriculture and FE department, I/c O/o secretary, Agriculture and FE department) for Mayurbhanj district.
