Bhubaneswar, April 11: The Communist Party of India (CPI), will contest from 1 Lok Sabha and 5-8 Assembly Constituencies in Odisha in the upcoming General and Assembly elections.
Senior CPI leader Ram Krushna Panda following a meeting with the Congress here in the Congress Bhawan informed it on Thursday.
Panda said the CPI will contest from Jagatsinghpur Lok Sabha seat this time. Apart from it, the party would contest from at least 5 Assembly seats.
Worth mentioning, Panda was fielded by the CPI from the the Aska Lok Sabha seat in the last election wherein he had lost it.
