Covishield price reduced by Rs 100 for states, now priced at RS 300 per dose

Pune, Apr 28: The CEO and owner of Serum Institute of India, Adar Poonawalla has reduced the price of Covishield vaccine by Rs 100 as a philanthropic gesture today following which the vaccines will be available to the states at Rs.300 per dose with immediate effect. He took twitter to share this information. “As a philanthropic gesture on behalf of @SerumInstIndia, I hereby reduce the price to the states from Rs.400 to Rs.300 per dose, effective immediately; this will save thousands of crores of state funds going forward.
