Covid-19 vaccination in Odisha to complete in four-five months

Bhubaneswar, July 6: The Covid-19 vaccination process in Odisha will be completed in the next four to five months, director of Health and Family Welfare Bijay Panigrahi informed on Tuesday. At least 4, 02,434 people across the State were administered Covid vaccine doses on Monday. With this, a total of 1, 24, 91,857 doses of vaccine have been administered in the State in 1657 vaccination centres till date. In fact, the health staff are struggling to manage large crowds at vaccination centres and follow vaccination protocols at several session sites that indicate people are now voluntarily coming out to get vaccinated against the virus. Meanwhile, a training programme of authorities for vaccination of pregnant women began in the state today. Vaccination of the expectant mothers in the state will begin as soon as possible, said a health official.
