Cuttack, April 22: Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) Mayor, Subash Singh on Friday picked up a dog’s carcass from a street in Cuttack city. Besides, he managed to dispose it with the help of CMC staff later. Sources said,the newly elected CMC Mayor, Subash Singh was leaving for his office in the morning. Meanwhile, a decomposed carcass of a stray dog which was lying on the mid-road at Firingi bazaar caught his sight. Acting on it, Singh asked his car driver to stop there. Subsequently, Singh visited a nearby shop and asked him for a carry bag in order to dispose the carcass. As it was handed over, Singh with the help of the driver packed the dog’s carcass and placed it in his car-dickey. Later, the carcass was dully dumped at a safe distance from the residential area by the sanitation workers. The denizens of the Cuttack city have lauded the noble venture of Singh. At the same time, they do hope a clean and green silver city during the chair of Singh.
