The struggle of the two countries against Colonialism has brought them closer towards each other. Especially, the Mahatma, the Madiba and the Jahaji brothers are examples of the emotional relationship between the two countries. The foundations of the political career of the Mahatma Gandhi were laid in South Africa. His struggle against non-violence and racism in the sub-continent gave him a new identity. Since the end of racism, the two countries have worked together on international platforms such as NAM, G-4 and BRICS to strengthen their historic ties. The number of Indians in South Africa is now about 3 percent of the total population. Both countries have also worked together in the field of Covid-19 control. In his book, Dr. Das points out that in the current context of cosmopolitanism and nativism, there are many opportunities for both countries. He hopes that this will bring India-South Africa relations to a new level in the coming days.
