CM to distribute BSKY smart health cards in Mayurbhanj

Mayurbhanj, Oct 22: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will launch the distribution of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) smart health cards in the Mayurbhanj district today. He will travel by helicopter and is slated to arrive at the temporary helipad in Baripada’s Chhau Padia at 11 am. He will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of various developmental projects worth Rs 2,400 crore in the district during his visit. The projects include 405 projects worth Rs 2,152 crore and 134 projects worth Rs 332 crore. According to the reports, the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojna Smart card will be issued to about 26 blocks and four municipalities in the district. Three Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), five Deputy Superintendent of police (DSP), eight Inspectors, 65 Sub-Inspectors, 17 Platoon Police Forces and 132 Homeguards have been deployed under the supervision of Eastern IG Himanshu Kumar Lal and Mayurbhanj SP Rishikesh Dnyandeo Khilari to ensure all kind security during the distribution ceremony. The BSKY smart health card will entitle the beneficiaries’ free treatment at all Government hospitals of the state and more than 200 private hospitals of the state and outside. Each family can avail treatment benefits up to Rs 5 lakh per annum under the scheme and in case of women family members, the limit is Rs 10 lakh.
