New Delhi, Feb 22: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia will not be part of an event next week when US First Lady Melania Trump is scheduled to watch a ‘happiness class’ at a government school, AAP sources said on Saturday. According to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) sources, CM Kejriwal and deputy CM Sisodia were dropped from the event at the instance of the Centre. As per the previous plan, Kejriwal and Sisodia were scheduled to receive Melania Trump at South Delhi Government School. The US First Lady will visit the school as a special guest on Tuesday. She is also expected to spend some time with the students in an hour-long visit. The AAP alleged that it was the Centre’s plan to drop Delhi CM and deputy CM form the event. It was Delhi Education minister Sisodia, who had initiated the happiness programme two years ago in a bid to reduce stress among school students. The curriculum includes 40 minutes of meditation, relaxing and even outdoor activities. Melania’s visit will happen at a time when President Trump will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said sources. US President Trump and his wife will commence their two-day visit on Monday in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad. They will fly to Delhi later that night.
