Bhubaneswar, March 7: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday announced a 25 per cent hike in remuneration for outsourced employees engaged in various government departments.
The CM also ordered to form a special Ombudsman, for hearing and redressal of public grievances.
The other measures announced by the Chief Minister include remuneration based on experience and timely payment.
Worth mentioning, a forum of outsourced employees had earlier met 5T Chairman Kartik Pandian and had apprised him of their various problems.
According to the benefits for the outsourcing employees announced today, experienced ones will be paid more remuneration. Rs 1,000 per month will be paid for every five years of experience.
The female employees can avail 120 days of maternity leave up to the birth of their first two children.
There will be nodal officers in each department to hear grievances of outsourced employees and Service Provider Agencies.
A Software Application will be developed through GA&PG Department, CMGI to simplify their filing of grievances. Both employees and agencies can file their grievances.
Outsourced employees who are currently receiving increased wages will be protected under the new system.
All departments will make supplementary agreements with Service Providing Agencies to manage all these systems in an orderly manner.
