New Delhi, August 12: The Centre on Thursday lashed out at the Opposition parties for protesting on road in the national capital. Taking a jibe at the protest march conducted by the Opposition leaders today from the Parliament to the Vijay Chowk, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said, “People wait for their issues to be raised in Parliament whereas anarchy remained the Opposition's agenda. They didn't care about people, taxpayers' money. What happened was condemnable. Instead of shedding crocodile tears, they must apologise to nation: Even today, Rahul Gandhi and Congress can't accept that people voted for Modi Ji. On Opposition's demand, we wanted to discuss farm issues but they climbed atop table, our Minister wanted to discuss Pegasus but they tore the bill, manhandled female marshals, Thakur added. Rahul Gandhi said that it was "murder of democracy". Nation can see what they did in Parliament. If they have sense of responsibility, they should apologise to the country. We also demand from Chairman that there should be strict action and this shouldn't be repeated, said Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi.
