Central University of Odisha offices to reopen on Thursday

Koraput, Jan 19: The Central University of Odisha will reopen its offices tomorrow which were closed since last seven days as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak in the university campus. The administrative office, library and the laboratories will function with strict adherence of the Covid-19 appropriate behavior. However, the online classes will continue till further order. To take appropriate precautionary measures for functioning of the University an emergency meeting was held today under the Chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor in-charge, Prof. S. K. Palita. In the best interest of the University and its functioning, he urged upon all non-teaching members of the staff to resume work in physical mode. He said “all employees and faculty members need not panic and strictly follow the Covid-19 appropriate behavior. Any employee even with minimum symptoms of Covid-19, immediately inform the university doctor and nodal officer, Covid-19 and to test them at the nearest hospital”. Due to rapid spread of the Covid-19 cases in Koraput and some cases outbreak in the university campus the university offices, library and the laboratories were closed down for a period of seven days since January 13.
