Bhubaneswar, Feb 12: The construction work of proposed capital region ring-road project will begin soon. The Public works department and NHAI are jointly proactively working on it following formal approval of the government. PWD secretary Dr. Krishan Kumar in a review meeting said, the government is analysing the feasibility of the project with the detailed project report (DPR) submitted by National Highways Authorities of India (NHAI). Accordingly, land acquisition process will begin followed by compensation to the displaced. It s worth mentioning, the capital region ring road project is a dream project the Road Congress announced in 2015. The project includes a long bypass within Rameswar near Khordha and Govindpur under Cuttack PWD division outside the cities in order to reduce traffic load along the twin cities.
