Bhubaneswar, April 5: The under construction trauma care and surgery complex of the Capital Hospital here in the city is yet to be completed over three months after the deadline of December 2023.
Over 20 percent work of the complex has to be completed despite frequent reprimand by the health department.
After the construction company L&T fixed February 2024 deadline after it failed to complete it by December 2023. The trauma complex is being built at a cost of Rs 80 crore. The construction work is going on in the 5th floor.
After completion of the trauma care complex critical accident victims will be treated at Capital Hospital. Now they are being referred to AIIMs, Bhubaneswar and SCB Hospital, Cuttack. The health department has directed to complete it within four months.
