Cannes Film Festival 2021: Titane wins top award

Julia Ducournau’s Titane, an outlandish film packed full of sex and violence, has won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival 2021. Ducournau is just the second female filmmaker to win the festival’s top honour in its history. Titane tells the story of a young female killer who has sex with cars after surviving a childhood crash. The Cannes Film Festival 2021 concluded on July 17.
