Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) today cancelled English subject examination at three centres in three districts following allegations of malpractice.
Students will now sit for English examination afresh at Ghunusar Govt High School in Bolangir, Palaspitha Panchayati Raj High School in Dhenkanal and Gopinathpur Krupasindhu Nodal High School in Cuttack district.
The BSE, which conducts the examination will decide the examination date in seven days. The BSE examination committee will fix the date. Students appeared the annual High School Certificate (Matriculation) English paper on Monday across the State.
Visuals of family and friends passing on answer sheets to their wards in these centres came on Monday putting the BSE and the State Government in a fix.
At Palaspitha Panchayati Raj High School video of parents and relatives scaling boundary walls of the school to provide answer chits to their children had gone viral on social media.
