Puri, May 14: Baseli Sahi police here arrested a drug peddler and seized 3kg of brown sugar worth Rs 3 crore during a raid, officials said on Saturday.

The arrested person has been identified as Sujit Patnaik who hails from Kanas area.

The team conducted a raid at Magala Ghat chhak here seized the narcotic drugs from Patnaik.

The police have also seized 3kg of brown sugar worth Rs 3 crore.

Puri SP is scheduled to brief the media about busting of the drug deal and arrest of the accused.
