BMC plans vaccination for special groups

Bhubaneswar, Mar 30: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has set the target to vaccinate all citizens above the age of 45 years. Intensive sensitisation regarding this has been started and it would be communicated at all level and we can more number of citizens will be vaccinated. Special emphasis has been given to particular groups who are supposed to be vulnerable. They include street vendors, meat / fish sellers, auto / bus drivers, school / college teachers, salon/ barber shop employees, security guards, restaurant staff, temple / church / mosque priests and employees engaged in water supply, road transport services and water support. “Further, the association leaders like president and secretaries would help support in listing out and vaccinating the members of their concerned associations. They need to contact concerned Zonal Deputy Commissioners to know the date and place for vaccination of concerned members. If they face any difficulty they should place their grievance on1929, the toll free number which is directly linked with BMC grievance,” said an official. .
