BJP names Suniti Mund as BMC Mayor candidate

Bhubaneswar, Mar 5: BJP today nominated Suniti Mund as its mayor candidate for Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC). This was declared by BJP's Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi in a press conference today. “We have received several applications for the post of mayor. We have also shortlisted as many as 25 candidates. We were looking for a qualified candidate and Mund has established her in the field of literature and journalism,” said Sarangi.   The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today announced its Mayor candidates for three municipal corporations in Odisha. The party has decided to field Sulochana Das for Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
