Bhubaneswar, Dec 24: After Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan attacked the state government over OBC reservation issue in Panchayat polls, the ruling BJD on Friday said the party is committed to reserve 40 percent for OBC candidates in the ensuing Panchayat polls. “@dpradhanbjp Bhai, BJD is committed to 40% OBC reservation in Panchayat poll tickets, we might even go upto 50% reservation. We will also publicly publish list of these OBC candidates who have been provided reservation in BJD tickets. I appeal to you to do the same for BJP,” tweeted BJD’s organizational secretary Pranab Prakash Das. “You are Union Minister, elected to Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh. For how many years was your party in power there? Why did you fail to ensure OBC reservation in MP? More so now, with Supreme Court striking down MP's OBC reservation policy for polls,” he further tweeted. He requested Pradhan to come and fight together for ensuring that the OBCs get their rightful reservation in polls.
