Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik today said that the party will raise issues pertaining to fuel price rise and special category status for Odisha during the Winter Session of the Assembly.
Patnaik after chairing the BJD Legislature Party meeting said that matters like Central Government not giving us special category status and petrol price hike will be raised in the house.
He said that the Government is prepared to have discussion with the Opposition in the floor of the House.
Assembly’s Winter Session will begin from Friday. The winter session will have a total of 23 working days and continue till December 15.
Several important bills are likely to be tabled during the session.
Meanwhile, Director General of Police Dr RP Sharma visited the Assembly and took stock of the security arrangements. Three tier security arrangements have been made.
After reviewing the situation, the DGP said that 30 platoon of police force will be deployed along with two units of anti terrorist around the Assembly premises and dharna site to maintain law and order situation. Four DCP rank officer will be in charge of the security arrangement.
