Cuttack, Sept 6: A gang of bike-borne robbers on Wednesday looted cash with ornaments in Odisha’s Cuttack.
The incident took place at the Matagajapur area under the Kandarpur Police limit in the afternoon.
Sources said, a gang of 7 miscreants, borne in three bikes, intercepted a Cuttack-based businessman, frightened him firing shots and looted Rs 25,000 and gold jewelry from him.
Being informed, the Kandarpur Police rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation into the matter.
A case has been registered on the basis of a complaint in this connection. Blocking and checking are underway to nab the robbers. Verification of CCTV footage is also going on, said the investigation officer.
