No movement in Bhubaneswar for 48 hours from today 8 pm

Bhubaneswar, April 3: Capital city of Bhubaneswar will be completely shutdown for 48 hours from 8 pm today evening. This was announced by Chief Secretary Asit Tripathi at an urgent press meet today. During the shutdown all shops, including grocery, vegetable, fish, meat egg and medicine, will remain closed. Government will later notify which medicine stores will be allowed to remain open. All exemption passes issued by the state government will be cancelled during this period. However, running of essential goods vehicles on National Highway will continue during the shutdown period. Anybody found violating the shutdown guidelines will be forwarded to government facilities for a 14-day quarantine. Legal proceedings will also be initiated against lockdown violators. The shutdown move was taken following detection of the fifth corona positive case, who has no history of travel to any foreign country or other state.
