Bhadrak police seizes 296 vehicles on a single day for lockdown violation

Bhadrak, April 7: Bhadrak police today seized as many as 296 vehicles including 292 two wheelers for violation of Covid-19 regulations. The district police have also arrested eight persons today. As per reports, Town police station seized the maximum number of vehicles with 81 while Dhusuri police station seized as many as 52 vehicles. Similarly Rural police station seized another 45 vehicles. Bhadrak police has decided to impose a penalty of Rs 5000 for four wheeler and Rs 2000 for two wheeler during lockdown. Police said that penalty collected will be utilized towards Covid-19 management. “Any vehicle reaching any market with or without vehicle pass will be seized. The crackdown will be intensified from Tuesday,” said a police official.
