Bedridden man in Jharkhand starts walking, speaking after Covishield jab

Ranchi, Jan 15: A 55 years old man from Jharkhand  who was bed ridden since a year is making headlines after he reportedly started walking and speaking after being administered the first shot of Covishield vaccine on Thursday.

The man has been indentified as 55-year-old Dularchand Munda, a resident of Salgadih village in Bokaro district of Jharkhand.

Dularchand had met an accident five years back and then gradually started losing his ablity to walk and speak.

Doctors had also confirmed that he was completely bedridden for the last one year with spine problems.

However, Dularchand’s life took a fortunate turn when An Anganwadi worker administered Covishield vaccine to him on January 4, 2022 at his residence.

Following this, the next day Dularchand not only started to move but also regained his speech.

A Three-member medical team has been constituted to examine the miraculous recovery, Bokaro Civil Surgeon Dr Jitendra Kumar said.
