Puri, July 12: The world-famous Rath Yatra is being held in Puri Srimandir on Monday. The Trinity along with god Sudarshan will come out of the Srimandir for a nine-day sojourn in three well-decorated chariots. The deities will give darshan to the devotees on the three gigantic chariots which will roll on the Grand Road (Badadanda). In a view to interact with the common devotees, the Trinities are leaving Jagannath temple for Srigundicha temple in the morning. Accordingly, the Mangala Alati has been performed in the wee hours of Sunday. Following this, the Prabhat Abakasa ritual and the Khechudi Bhog rituals have been completed by the servitors in the early morning. Subsequently, the servitors have finished the Rath Pratistha Niti before the Trinities get their ride on the three chariots for the annual festival. However, no devotees are allowed for the common darshan of the deities due to the Covid pandemic. The servitors will perform each and every ritual of the Yatra this year.
