New Delhi, Aug 6: Bangladesh today registered their first-ever bilateral series win against Australia after they won the third T-20 match by 10 runs. Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first on a slow track which has plenty of assistance for spinners. The hosts posted a modest total of 127 runs. Skipper Mohammad Mahmudullah was the top scorer with 52 while Australia’s debutant Nathan Ellis took a hat trick. Chasing the total, the visiting team failed to capitalise the field restriction in the first 6 overs and could manage to score only 20 runs. Mitchell Marsh scored a fighting half-century but the visiting team failed to keep the momentum. A one run over from Mustafizur Rahman in the 19th over proved the turning point and the hosts won their first ever series against Australia in any format.
