Bhubaneswar, July 4: The backlog on opening up and inventory of Ratna Bhandar in Puri Jagannath temple is yet to be worked out.
Chairperson of Ratna Bhandar Inventory Committee, Justice Arijit Pasayat said that the tentative day to open the Ratna Bhandar on July 8 might not be feasible. It’s due to tens of thousands of visitors would be gathered here in Puri for the Rath Yatra on the day.
Odisha government is yet to extend requisite permission regarding opening of the treasury of Lord Jagannath so far, Justice Pasayat added. However, he asserted that the specific date and time are likely to be be finalized today, in a meeting scheduled at Puri today.
Worthwhile, Minister for Law, Government of Odisha, Prithiwiraj Harichandan had tentatively scheduled July 8, for opening the Puri Ratna Bhandar, which was a longstanding demand of the people.
