Baahubali star Prabhas donates Rs 1 crore for flood victims in AP

Hyderabad, Dec 7: Superstar Prabhas on Tuesday has donated Rs 1 crore to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to assist flood victims of the state. In the past few weeks, due to a depression over the Bay of Bengal, heavy rains lashed parts of south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema, leaving at least 40 people dead. An official statement has confirmed that Prabhas has contributed Rs 1 crore towards CMRF. Last week, Telugu stars Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Jr NTR and Mahesh Babu contributed Rs 25 lakh each towards the CM relief fund. Also during the devastating rains in Hyderabad and coronavirus-induced lockdowns in 2020, Prabhas donated Rs 4.5 crore, other celebrities too contributed significantly. Worth mentioning, Prabhas is awaiting for the release of his next venture 'Radhe Shyam' which is hitting the theatres on January 14, 2022. He will then wrap up his shooting formalities with 'KGF' fame Prashanth Neel for their upcoming movie 'Salaar' while Om Raut's 'Adipurush' is under production too.
