Assistant Post Master arrested in Odisha for taking bribe from his colleague

Bhubaneswar, Oct 16: The Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) today arrested Manoj Kumar Mohanta, Assistant Post Master (Accounts), Baripda Head Post Office for accepting bribe of Rs 50000 from his colleague. Mohanta has demanded the bribe from his colleague for transfer/ credit of sanctioned deputation allowance in the postal salary account of complainant. Further, Mohanta had allegedly threatened to the complainant that if demanded bribe is not paid by him, he will not transfer/ credit any deputation allowance to the account of complainant in future. Accordingly, a trap was laid on Friday and the accused was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance.
