Bhubaneswar, Feb 26: The proceedings of State Assembly were adjourned over the issue of rape and murder of a minor girl Pari, which cropped up once again today. Raising the issue, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Narasingha Mishra said that the Speaker of the state Assembly had directed the Minister of State for Home on four points However, Minister Divyashankar Mishra made statement on only one point, skipping three other points. The minister did not say anything on the Agriculture minister Arun Sahoo, who was accused of shielding the culprit. We had demanded his resignation and constitution of a special investigation team (SIT) under the direct supervision of the High Court. However, the government order on the constitution of SIT has not been clear., alleged Mishra seeking clarification on the SIT. Leader of Opposition , Pradipta Kumar Naik accused the Chief Minister of shielding Agriculture Minister, Sahoo. He sought the dismissal of Sahoo and raised question on the neutrality of the SIT investigation. However, giving a clarification on the SIT, Parliamentary Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh said that the notification regarding the monitoring of SIT investigation by Orissa High Court would be issued soon. However, the BJP members continued uproar over the issue forcing the Speaker to adjourn the proceedings. CLP leader Mishra said the doubt in the minds of members could be made clear by the Minister's statement. However, the BJP members were causing uproar unnecessarily to help the ruling the party.
