Bhubaneswar, April 30: Amid the political turmoil over the ongoing construction near the Jagannath temple in Puri, a joint team of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation (OBCC) and Tata Projects will inspect the Puri Heritage Corridor Project on Sunday. The joint team will inspect the construction activities around Srimandir under the project. The depth and height of the under-constructed project will be observed and subsequently recorded. The Orissa High Court, which has advanced the hearing on the project by a week to May 9, has ordered the ASI to submit an affidavit on the ongoing construction work under the project by May 7. A petition has been filed in the Orissa High Court seeking the intervention of the court. It claimed that the work on the project is affecting the health of the temple.
