<strong>ASI team visits Puri Jagannath temple</strong>

Puri, April 21: A team of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has visited Puri Jagannath temple on Thursday. The team led by Additional Director General(ADG), Alok Tripathy studied different aspects on the safety and security of the Jagannath temple, status of the sanctum sanctorum and other temples existing inside the Srimandir complex in the morning. Sources said, ASI ADG, Tripathy accompanied with Superintendent Arun Mallick and Asst. Superintendent Chittaranjan Das studied the cracks and fractures inside the Jagannath temple and reviewed the precautionary measures undertaken in this connection. Subsequently, they discussed the proposed Heritage Corridor with the temple authorities in the afternoon. Apart from it, Tripathy and his team went into the temple to have a darshan of the Trinity alongside their official schedule.
