Aryan Bramhin becomes first Odia to represent India in Asian Handball Championship

Bhubaneswar, Aug 18: Handball player Aryan Bramhin has been selected in the Indian team for the 9th Asian Men's Youth Handball Championship 2022 to be held at Manama, Bahrain from August 20 to 31. Aryan would be the first Odia to represent India in the Asian Handball Championship. The teams have been divided into two groups for the preliminary round. India have been drawn in Group A alongside Iran, Bahrain, South Korea and Uzbekistan. Group B features Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Iraq and Kuwait. The top five teams from the championship will directly qualify for the 10th IHF Men’s Youth World Handball Championship, to be held in Croatia in 2023.
