Another low pressure by Sep 17, Odisha likely to experience rainfall

Bhubaneswar, Sep 13: Odisha is likely to experience more rainfall as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday informed that another low pressure is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal by September 17. IMD Director-General Dr Mrutyunjay Mohapatra said that a cyclonic circulation is likely to form over the north Bay of Bengal on September 17 and the system is likely to reach north Odisha by Sep 18. He said under the influence of the fresh low pressure, spells of rainfall is very likely to be witnessed in the coastal districts from September 17. Mohapatra, however, said the intensity of rain will be less than that triggered by the low pressure on September 10.
