After SC verdict, Pandian visits Jagannath temple

Puri, June 3: After the Supreme Court verdict on Srimandir heritage corridor project went in favour of the state government, Secretary to Chief Minister (5T) VK Pandian today visited the Jagannath temple in Puri and offered his prayers to the deities. BJD’s organizational secretary Pranab Prakash Das also visited the 12th-century shrine along with the 5T Secretary. Puri Collector Samarth Verma, SP Kanwar Vishal Singh and other officials were present during the 5T Secretary’s visit. After the apex court ruling, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik took to Twitter and posted a picture of the Jagannath temple with caption, 'Not a leaf moves without Lord Jagannath’s will'. The Supreme Court has dismissed the petitions filed against the Srimandir Heritage Corridor Project stating them as frivolous and imposed a penalty of Rs 1 lakh each on the petitioners.
