Bhubaneswar, Jan 6: After onion, the consumers are now burdened with potato price rise. Potato price has been up by Rs 5 to Rs 7 per kg within a day or two. It has reached Rs 30 per kg at several places across the state. {"id":23264,"sizeSlug":"large"} Odisha mainly depends on West Bengal for potato as its domestic production does not meet its demand. However, the procurement of new harvest from West Bengal has been delayed due to unseasonal rain for the last two days. On the other hand, the old stock has almost exhausted. That's why the market price of potato suddenly went up, said the traders.
