Administrative interference in Gajapati: Tribal,civilians protest against Andhra Pradesh

Paralakhemundi, Sep 15: People of Gajapati ,civic bodies and tribal mass were united on Monday in order to gather momentum against Andhra Pradesh for its illegal access into Gajapati. Opposing the forwarding steps of Andhra Pradesh administration into the territory of Odisha at Manikapatana in Gajapati and Kotia in Koraput district, the tribal people of Gajapati and the local public representatives declared open protest against the Andhra’s plethora of action plans in and around the bordering villages. As the first move against Andhra’s intrusion, the tribal people of Gangabada and Kerandi gram panchayats and the local leaders staged a demonstration before the Gajapati Collector office today. {"id":137512,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"} During the protest, they blamed the Gajapati District Administration for its utter silence on Andhra’s illegal interference in Manikapatana village. However, they demanded a permanent solution to the border dispute raised in Gajapati. Meanwhile, they submitted a memorandum to the Additional District Magistrate for favour of the Chief Minister.
