A third chair added at swearing-in ceremony for Devendra Fadnavis

Mumbai, June 30: A third chair was added at the swearing-in ceremony, scheduled for 7.30 pm, for the oath-taking of BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis. Eknath Shinde will take oath as the Chief Minister of the state while Fadnavis too has agreed to be a part of the government as Deputy CM. CM-designate Eknath Shinde and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis have arrived at the Raj Bhavan in Mumbai for the swearing-in ceremony to begin shortly. Devendra Fadnavis has decided to join the Maharashtra government on the request of BJP chief JP Nadda, tweeted Union Home minister Amit Shah. He further tweeted, that Fadnavis’s decision shows his sense of service towards the people of Maharashtra. The development comes hours after the former Chief Minister said that he will remain out of the government. “I will remain out of the government, but I shall do everything possible to make the new government a success on all fronts, and resume the developmental activities that had stopped in the past two-and-a-half years,” said Fadiavis earlier.
