9 including 3 police personnel arrested for scamming businessman in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Apr 28: The commissionerate Police has arrested nine people including 3 police personnel in connection with a major fraud and seized cash around Rs 1 crore from their possession here today. The accused police personnel have been identified as Dilip Prusty, Sandeep Prusty and Prafulla Bhuiyan who have been posted in UPDs of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. The police also seized cash around Rs 22.5 lakh from their possession which they have allegedly collected conducting fake raids. According to the reports, the accused tried to lure a businessman, Kamal Saha by asking him to give them Rs 1 crore at first and get Rs 1.5 crore in return. Subsequently, he informed the police about the fraud following which they conducted raid and nabbed the accused red-handed while they were doing a deal in a hotel. Further investigation is underway.
