Bhubaneswar, July 31:As many as 64,79,646 small and marginal farmers have availed KALIA benefits so far, informed Deputy Chief Minister Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment KV Singh Deo on Wednesday.
Replying to a query by BJD MLA from Baliguda, Chakrapani Kanhar in the Odisha Assembly, Singh Deo said that as many as 45,67,524 small & marginal farmers with 19,12,122 landless agricultural families have so far received assistance under the KALIA scheme.
Apart from it, at least 29, 73,980 farmers from across the state received the 17th instalment of assistance under the PM Kisan Sammanidhi Yojana on June 18, the Dy. Chief Minister added.
