64-year-old retired banker in Odisha joins MBBS

Sambalpur, Dec 25: A 64-year-old man who retired as deputy manager of a nationalised bank has taken admission in the MBBS course at the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (Vimsar) in Burla this year. The retired banker Jaya Kishore Pradhan hailing from Attabira in Bargarh district took admission after clearing the NEET exam. Pradhan said that he started preparing for the NEET exam in 2016 after he was retired from bank service. “It was my wish to take admission in MBBS after I did my graduation in Physics. But owning to my family obligation, I decided to join bank service. I am delighted that my dream came true finally. I wish to provide free medical treatment to the poor,” said Pradhan.
